We Train to Strengthen Our Team

Vocational Training for Industrial Mechanics at GRW

You are fascinated by modern technology and like handling big machinery? An apprenticeship at our company presents the perfect opportunity to turn your hobby into a profession. GRW manufactures high-precision ball bearings for an international client base. These are manufactured in our production site by our skilled workers who bring in a variety of different professions. At GRW we offer a three and a half year vocational training program to become an industrial mechanic with a special focus on:

  • Metal processing at our training workshop:

    Filing, drilling, milling, turning
  • Mechanical maintenance and repairing:

    Machines, equipment, manufacturing plants
  • Process and safety control:

    Measurements, reviews, reports
  • Working with production machines:

    Programming, operating, monitoring

Apprenticeship at GRW: From Start to Finish

In your apprenticeship you will spend three and a half years getting to know the ins and outs of our company. Every four to six weeks, you will join a different department and team and gain insight into various fields of expertise:

  • turning shop
  • retainer production
  • training workshop
  • measuring processes
  • installation
  • grinding and honing
  • tool manufacture

Apart from practical on-site experience, the training for industrial mechanics also includes academic education at a local vocational school in Wuerzburg. You can either take your own car or use public transportation to attend the teaching course that lasts between one and two weeks.

What You Need to Apply for a Training Position as Industrial Mechanic:

  • at least secondary school certificate (“Qualifizierter Hauptschulabschluss” after ninth grade)
  • good understanding of mathematics and physics
  • you are thrilled by technical products and industrial processes
  • working and communicating respectfully with fellow employees and superiors is something which is important for you
  • you are excited to be part of a committed and ambitious team

Industrial Management Training at GRW

Each year, we train young and motivated graduates to become an industrial clerk at our company. Are you interested in a diverse apprenticeship at GRW and want to become an Industrial Clerk? Send us your application!

What Does the Training Look Like?

The training to become a certified Industrial Clerk has a duration of two and a half years. During this time, you will get to know different areas of our business. Every two to three months, you will gain insights into all of our departments and teams and their exciting fields of work such as:

  • Incoming goods/dispatch
  • Purchase/disposition
  • Sales and Marketing
  • Financial accounting
  • Human resources management
  • Quality management

As an apprentice, you will also receive academic training once or twice a week at the vocational college in Kitzingen near Wuerzburg.

During your training to become an Industrial Clerk, these are your fields of learning and your administrational tasks:

  • all steps in order processing:

    handling inquiries, offerings and enter purchasing orders
  • sending goods:

    generating dispatch documents, gathering products, packing orders
  • exchange with customers and suppliers:

    telephone conversations, writing business letters and e-mails, preparing meetings
  • financial accounting:

    checking receiving payments, sending payment reminders, handling invoices
  • resource and material management:

    generating requests and orders, handling order confirmations

Our Requirements:

If you want to start your training and career as Industrial Clerk at GRW, you should bring along the following skills and competencies:

  • at least intermediate school-leaving certificate
  • good language skills in German, English as well as basic knowledge of accounting
  • MS-office
  • Addicted to working in a team
  • Commitment and interest in administrational tasks in various fields of business
